I do not know ·if you find any but it might be a great find
They have been mark down and discontinued

Come with a 12 volt @ 1.5 power charger switching
Come with a 12 volt car charger

One note PLEASE use a fuse on your out put

Using any Lithium-ion battery pack with out a fuse or with out battery voltage·sensing board·is asking for BIG trouble

    Hi Sam,

    I picked up one of these for $15 at Radio Shack on May 24th, used a $10 off $40 purchase coupon, so it cost a little less then the $15.
    Wish I could find another one, I have been looking.
    Was running my BoeBot off of it, it ran great.
    Also have been running my Propeller Demo Board from it.
    I have not opened my battery up so thanks for the picture of the inside.

    Regards,

    zappman

    I will have to look at some more stores in my area.

    I thought this 'Battery Assembly' had some built in output protection, since it has a bunch of circuitry inside, such as the charge circuit and charge level status LEDs.

    But I guess adding a fuse is the safest thing to do.

    It does have the warning 'Do Not Short Circuit Battery' printed on the label

    This is a picture of the robot I am building, you can see my battery connected to my BOE board.

    It dose· how ever it may be allot higher than 2600 mill amp It would be allot safer to use a fuse

    Here is a link to the type of fuse that I use

    Sam,

    This would make a great tutorial if you could teach what fuses or resettable circuit protectors we need for different voltages / amps.

    The reality is my friends and I are using multiple LEDs, LED drivers·and I'm even thinking of multiple servos and motors.· I know these things aren't always exact but safety is a good priority and it isn't too far fetched to think I won't burn out some boards.

    I'm possibily going to look at the Digital I/O board / kit.

    Thanks_thanks_thanks sam_sam_sam!

    Good tip, I found one near my house (LA area). I see what you mean, they're hard to track down, a web purchase only. Most stores aren't supposed to have them!

    Wouldn't mind finding one more...

    Also found 2 wall warts on clearance at the Shack. Great current rating. Curious form factor, though:

    6V, 1800 mA, $1.47: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049709

    4.5V, 1600mA, $1.97: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049707· I only found this one.

    Could be made into·a battery charger for a robot, or power a project or BoE.·Includes one adaptaplug to suit !

    @sam_sam_sam

    What is the Radio Shack part number of the Battery Pack?

    @erco

    I cleaned the southeast area out of these·4 months ago @$1.97. I had the Nashville Manager order every one of them that he could get (leagally) in his franchise area. I could only score 6.
    Glad you found some more. I have been running·4 servos off the Propeller Servo Board, (one power supply), with no problems. It's a suprising little PS.
    How do they fit so many electrons into such a small package?

    @Jim: OH YOU'RE THE GUY who cleaned out all the 6V adapters! :)

    All I could find were two 4.5 V units here in LA. Surprisingly, they work fine on my older BoE. The brick outputs 4.65V, and I measure 4.59 volts at the BS2. I was sure that voltage regulator would have dropped it at least 0.5 volt, but far less than that. Just a quickie test, no external circuitry attached, but if that 4.5V brick is rated at 1600 mA, it looks like it will work fine.
