Connection wires for MSR1

I know parallax has these but does anyone know where I can get single cables of these?

or where I can buy the ends to make my own?

I am interfacing the taos 230 color sensor, and discountinued emic with the msr1.

The parts to make your own are on digikey. You would need a special tool to crimp the ends on. I could make you one I have all the parts here.

I've found that the cheap tool I use for Molex KK terminals can be used with the similar Harwin crimp terminals, with care.

what kind of special tool do I need?

I need to make quite a few of them. I need like 20.

But I dont need them with 3 or 2 connectors I need single ones.

do you have any links for those? and a link to the tool? Im not quite sure what to search for.

It's amazing to me how expensive this stuff is when I can get assembled servo leads from China for way under a dollar each.

It's really no worth buying a $50.00 tool and sourcing the connectors just to make 20 cables.

That's a good price on the crimp tool. Too bad it's out of stock. The male pins pictured sure look like female pins, ( I went to biology class [noparse]:)[/noparse] But the OP wants single connectors. The pins will work fine with some heat shrink on them. No need for plastic enclosure.

Id rather give my money to parallax, but will those plug into the msr1, ping sensors? They seem kind of big, but I dont know if its just the picture.

The Ping has a female plug·that plugs into the servo headers. The cables I mentioned are female-to-female that are used to plug into servo header posts (.025 square).

Parallax has Male-to-Female cables also:

You can make your own pretty easily by just cutting apart a female header.

I can just cut them down the middle?
i dont think I have anything sharp enough to cut those servo cables, they're really small.

I just score the header on both sides then snap it. If you want a three pin connector - make the cut over the middle of the fourth pin where the plastic is thinnest, then clean up the edges with an X-acto or sandpaper.

Not sure what you mean about the servo cables being too small to cut. If you don't have the "proper" tools, fingernail clippers will work well for small wires, if you're gentle you can strip with them too.
