First Project - Princess Cylon

This is my first Propeller project, and first microcontroller of any kind actually. The Cylon LED has probably been done a million different ways already, since it is a natural step from the "Hello World" blinking LED examples. But this is my version, with a sprinkle of juxtaposition: the Princess Cylon

www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9p1D-uZ3cY

I am using the Propeller Education Kit, 8 LEDs and a 9V battery. I don't have schematic software yet but the circuit I used is right out of the lab book, only with 8 LEDs(attached). Code is also attached.

I just can't believe how fast, cheap, and easy this was to put together. My mind is buzzing now with so many of possibilities that I can barely even sleep anymore. A whole new door has opened up for me.

Feedback welcome.

Thanks,

John

    @johnnycarlos,

    That is a neat first project ;)·

    Using a Barbie head·for "Princess Cylon" makes it a little creepy (Uncanny Valley actually), but would be great for Halloweeen.

    I love that Princess Cylon..LoL

    Is that one of those large doll heads that girls play
    with by styling the hair and doing makeup..etc?

    I had one of those when I was a kid, I just loved it smile.gif

    If I had that Princes Cylon I would put it on a shelf behind my
    work table, the guys here would get a real kick out of it.

    @HollyMinkowski - Yes, it is. I bought it at a thrift store for a couple of dollars.

    Thanks for your kind words. I had a lot of fun building it, very easy and I've gotten quite a bit of compliments. I also get folks who find it "disturbing" and "creepy". I may continue to explore that concept further, I love the reactions!
