Since OBC has 200+ people coming to Parallax I've added a special outdoor area - a 10x20 open tent with misting!
And just about the time I made that decision I received confirmation that eTrac will bring their Propeller-based Remote Survey Vehicle.
Here's a short video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=en5TCSHZDyY You may have also seen their recent article in ROBOT.
We'll put a QuadRover out there, too. Both of these robots can handle the "misting".
So, if you have anything you want to show off OUTSIDE we've got a nice venue for you!
Chances are that the outside tent may end up being cooler than the inside if our A/C fails. 200 people in 200 sf - that means we'll each have to stand on one square foot.
Bring your projects, big and small!

I'm willing to support live video feeds financially (or with hardware trades) if anybody wants to run it. I'm overbooked already and can't do much beyond provide an internet connection.
As an alternative, I'd be really happy just to have a dedicated video person for the day, too. Even if they could condense it down to a 30 minute YouTube presentation. . .

We tried to do this last year from UPENE and it failed due to lack of bandwidth. As long as the bandwidth is there and the firewall doesn't block it, (we'll test) I should be able to provide a live feed of sorts with a chatroom.

Matt will record various materials which can be uploaded to Youtube after the meet. (He did a great job for me at UPEC)
I'll be transmitting some video to ustream.tv.
I've established a channel at: www.ustream.tv/channel/unofficial-propeller-expo-upew-2010
(Add it to your bookmarks.)
and I have another volunteer who is bringing some IP based gear.
I think we'll be able to get most of you by proxy one way or another if you cannot attend.
