Think I Need A New Basic Stamp 2 Module...

Hi all,
I believe today I fried part of my basic stamp 2 module while using the board of education for another project (RC Lawn Mower) I'm working on. The reason why I came to this theory is:
1. When power is applied to the board of education, the right small chip (think where the EEPROM data is stored) at the top of the Basic Stamp 2 module becomes extremely hot.
2. When I connect the board of education board to my computer by USB, my Basic Stamp program can no longer detect the Basic Stamp 2 board even though the blue/red light emit when I connect the usb cable.
3. I had a program setup where if I push one of the push buttons on my bread board an action happens, and that no longer happens.
So I believe everything else on my board is still working, as the power LED emits as well. I'm building my RC Lawn Mower out of metal (aluminum), and I believe a short circuit occurred when some of my bottom pins touched the metal plate of my Lawn Mower frame.
Anyway, can someone help me find the basic stamp 2 module on the website for my Boe Bot USB version model, as I can't seem to find one that looks exactly like mine. I just purchased mine this year around May 2010, so it should be the latest version. If Parallax provides some type of warranty or repair service, let me know (even though this was entirety my fault)
Thanks

Call Parallax Tech Support on Monday. They're pretty good about helping people recover from accidents like this. Usually people put a plastic or cardboard insulator between a printed circuit board (like the Board of Education) and a metal mounting plate.
Here's the webstore page: www.parallax.com/Store/Microcontrollers/BASICStampModules/tabid/134/ProductID/1/List/1/Default.aspx?SortField=UnitCost,ProductName
