Thanks for heads up! I bought one. Although I was battling it at checkout time, because everytime I'd hit the final checkout button, it would not take it. Finally got a midnight blue with xp....i think. Two questions on these: Isn't windows 7 hungrier for ram than xp? And I thought these things had upwards of 7 to 10 hours of battery life. I think on specs i saw just 3?

Most Netbooks ship with either a 3 cell battery (2 hr and 45 min typical) or a 6 cell battery (6 hrs typical). Batteries are also available separately from many sources - see ebay.

Per Forrest, 2:45 sounds about right for my Acer. Turning down the screen brightness definitely helps the battery last longer. I ended up buying a USB DVD drive seperately (Ebay DOD was $18 shipped). I always keep an 8 GB SD card in the Acer for transferring files back & forth between computers.

Not sure if Win7 is a RAM hog.
