Hi

I need·a device that will keep time without using any controller overhead.· Preferrably one that uses the OW technology for initializing the device and getting date & time information.· Is there such a device?

    I believe it's the 1307 chip, with a coin-cell battery backup and a clock-crystal for a time-base.

    thanks for the reply Allan, can you be more specific (prefix/suffix/manufacturer).· searching parallax parts databaase yields no positiv results for "1307"

    The manufacturer is maxim, the chip is a ds1307. heres the link for it.
