Disassemble the servo.
Mark one outside pot tang with white-out.
Cut the three tangs that support the pot about half way between the board and the pot.
Prepare three long leads with heat shrink and solder to the tangs remaining in the servo board.
Cut a small slot in the end of the servo case to bring the wires out.
Solder two wires to the motor leads.
Cut a small slot in the end of the servo bottom to bring these wires out the other end.
(Note: I did not disconnect the motor!)
Remove the main servo head gear and cut the rotation stop out.
Solder the pot to the correct wires.
Reassemble the servo.
Check the motor to be sure it’s running free.
