Picture-in-Picture with the Prop?

I have been looking for different ways for awhile now to do Picture in Picture, but not coming up with much.· I was hoping to find an IC that would handle it all in one, but not having much luck finding anything.

I have used the Prop to do video overlay before, and wondering, how much more complicated it is it do PIP?

Can anyone give me some ideas or point me towards a circuit that I can start testing or playing with?

Thanks Guys!

To do picture-in-picture you would have to acquire the inset picture and store it in RAM, since both its input and output synchronization would be so at odds with the sync from the main source. This immediately presents two problems for the Prop:

    1. RAM capacity for the stored image, and

    2. Output intensity and color range for regenerating the inset from the stored data.

Based on this, I would say that the Prop is a poor candidate for this kind of application.
