Due to a peculiarity of DigiKey's pricing, it's cheaper to buy cables twice as long as you want, with pins on both ends, and cut them in half, than it is to buy cables with pins on one end only. You can also get cables longer than 12". Of course, with DigiKey's minimums on the cable assemblies, you'll end up with 20 cables instead of 10.
Also, consider the H10230-ND. It's the PCB-mount version of the plug. It's possible to solder wires directly to the pins to make your own plug. I recommend doing this with it plugged into the mezzanine connector, since the plastic shell softens from the soldering iron heat. Then just dress the soldered connections with shrink tubing. It's not only cheaper, but more compact, since the crimp housings include ears for panel snap-in use.
