While at the recent Chicago Expo I bought the following from Gadget Gangster:
1) Propeller Platform Module
2) Touchscreen LCD Module
Soldered up the Platform Module last Saturday.
Tested by running jumpers to a solderless breadboard
and blinking some LEDs. ( That never gets old.)
Sunday I soldered 14 pin and 4 pin headers to the 4.3" Breakout Board
Plugged it into Platform Module --- Zip/Zilch/Nada
Every evening since I've been trying different things with just the Platform Module.
found out the prop was not running at 80 MHz like it should have been.
This evening I replaced the 5 MHz crystal. That did the trick, now its up to speed.
Plugged the breakout board back in. SUCCESS!
Now I can do some playing around with PSB Paint
note for anyone that may have forgotten: crystal in Propeller Proto Board is socket-ed.

I think it's bad.
Original crystal does not work in the Propeller Module or the Propeller Education Kit breadboard.
The replacement works in both places. How could it be anything else?
May have damaged it when I clipped the leads (?)
I'm glad it was a component in s socket.
