How Do I Draw A Star?
Hello everyone,
··· This is my first post.· This looks like a fun forum.·
···· In class we're going to program a Scribbler.· I'd like to make it draw a five point star.· How do I do that?· I've written a small program that will travel in a square.· My question is, how do I make it turn a specific number of degrees?· Do I have to vary the left and right speeds in addition to the time, or is their a way that I can tell it to rotate 'X' number of degrees?
Thanks in advance,
Rob

So much depends on batteries (old or fresh) and your Scribbler's motors. But - you can do it!
You probably know that turning one motor forward and one motor backward will spin your Scribbler in place. It is a matter of figuring out how long (time and motor speed) to rotate so that you get the correct angle. The lengths of the legs of the star will be determined by time and speed forward as well. There is rotate "x" degrees command.
Have fun experimenting and send us a picture of that star.
I have my students "scribble" their intitials. This project is similar to that! Trial and Error is the way to do it.
