Remote temperature setup

Hey all. I need to be able to use this temp sensor but to do so with a short (<8inch) remote set up. The thermocouple units that are for sale don't go low enough in temperature for what we need.

What can I use to "extend" this unit with an 8 inch cable, and then plug it into the board?

Nothing special needed. Read the datasheet (from the Parallax webstore page). It requires a ground lead, power (+5V), and a signal wire (Vout). You can just solder on wires. You can use a little piece of scrap prototype board like those sold by RadioShack to make a connection. You can use a servo extension cable from Parallax like www.parallax.com/Store/Components/WireConnection/tabid/151/CategoryID/29/List/0/SortField/0/Level/a/ProductID/609/Default.aspx along with www.parallax.com/Store/Components/WireConnection/tabid/151/CategoryID/29/List/0/SortField/0/Level/a/ProductID/182/Default.aspx so it can fit in a breadboard.
