Reliable Manufacturers

edited 2010-05-23 10:00 in General Discussion
I was reading about a post from a person who has his microcontroller board manufactured in the United States and Europe and he said that he hasn't found any manufacturers who haven't caused him many problems.

What do you look for in a PCB manufacturer that does soldering work?· Who do you recommend?

I've had no problems with prototype boards (including a BGA) assembled by ASK:

    www.asktechnology.co.uk/About%20ASK.htm

Very fast service and reasonable prices.

Some years ago I had a few hundred boards assembled by Wilson Process Systems, near where I live:

    www.wps.co.uk/

    Excellent service and no problems.

Those problems might have been of his own making, of course. It's a good idea to discuss the board with the company doing the assembly, before finalising the PCB design. They will know what best suits their assembly processes.
