A new Gadget Gangster Platform based board containing VGA (P16..23), TV (P12..14/15), Mono Sound (P11), and PS2 Keyboard (P26..27) and Mouse (24..25). It also has a modest Prototyping area with access to P0..10.

Standard Platform "short board" (2.8" x 2.5") form factor. VGA is standard HD15 female, 2 6 pin mini-DIN PS2 connectors for KBD and MSE. TV and sound brought out to an "AV" connector (3.5mm stereo jack) in same fashion as "Propeller Backpack" (NTSC video to "tip", sound to first "ring", ground to second "ring")

Pictures here of the prototype. Board will go fabrication Monday 5/24/10 and expect them to be ready for sale between 6/9 and 6/15. Current plans are $10 (+ S/H) for bare PCB and $17 (+ S/H) for complete kit (19 resistors, 2 caps, 2 PS2 connectors, AV connector, VGA connector, and Platform mounting headers.

There will be more info on my website in thee next week or so

There's a few more pix of the board 'in action' ... MandelBrot display in PropBasic on NTSC video, The classic Graphics Demo with KBD and MSE, and another PropBasic VGA demo.

Cool board. One question... on your prototype you have through hole plating. Did you have someone do that for you when they built the prototype board or did you do that? In other words, do you know how a home hobbiest can do that?

My proto board was done via ExpressPCB "mini-board" service ($61/3 boards).

I must confess I haven't the foggiest idea how to do it myself!

Through-hole plating can be done at home, kits are available. It isn't easy, though.
