Hi guys I am building a robot and want to add a wireless camera so I can see where the robot is going . I have a backup wireless camera that I am using its great but it is composite .. so I need a separate monitor
I would like to be able to use my computer so I can send commands and also see what the robot is seeing at the same time ,, is there a wireless camera that could be USB ???? I have been unable to find what I am looking for
I just want a wireless camera that will display via my computer monitor? I have Web Cams but they need to be connected to a USB port?
Thanks I hope I explained it right.

Just thought you want the axis 207 not 206, the 206 is ethernet, the 207 is wireless

Someone (can't remember if it is edimax or other) also had a "Wifi Stream Monitor" that decoded the image back to an LCD monitor without any PC
*edit: these look good too, you could hack the motors for local control, or leave them done via IP

Or you can (usually) operate in "ad hoc" mode where you don't need a router. I've never actually tried ad hoc mode but it should be straightforward. You just set each node (laptop and camera) with a fixed IP address I believe
I have an Axis 213 PTZ with the connection module. I use the serial port to communicate with the Prop from my laptop or desktop. It's slick, but expensive. There are less expensive PTZ cameras, and less expensive "fixed" cameras with serial ports, but the dual combination gets expensive.
Any of the cameras I've found with serial ports get expensive. These are targeted at "professional security", and the serial ports are meant to be controlling other devices like gates, data from keypads, etc.
The IP Camera portion is indeed slick. If you set your router up right (open the right holes) and work with someone line dyndns.org, you can watch the cats while you're at work

Now that digital HDTV is here, lots of people have perfectly-functioning analog TV tuner cards they can't use anymore just sitting around. I've also seen them new in the box at swap meets for $5.
