Emic Text-To-Speech #30006

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a text-to-speech module with really good synthesis. I saw some videos of the Parallax #30006 text to speech module which looked awesome, but then noted on the Parallax site that this is now discontinued. I know I can get this module elsewhere, but I really need a module that I will eventually be able to buy in bulk. Is there a preferred alternative to the #30006 that produces really good human speech from text that works well with the Propeller chip?

I have, but the only objects available require careful construction of sounds. I need something where I could simply pass a string of text and it will create the audio frequencies for me, much like the 30006 module does. It would also be preferable if it could be used for production devices.

Have you looked at the Speakjet chip and it's partner text-to-speech chip from Sparkfun? I have no idea if they are any good, as I have an EMIC module, but they might be worth looking at. They also have a breakout board with audio amp for the speakjet which has room to add the TTS chip.

Yes, I've seen it, but the quality is nowhere near as good as the Emic board. Sadly.
