Mem. Stick Datalogger - Long File Names........

In Mem. Stick Datalogger looks like accept only 8.3 file name format.

Is it possible to define longer file names than 8.3 format?
can to share some BS2 code?

    The controller chip (Vinculum) for Parallax's Memory Stick Datalogger does not support long file names. Microsoft holds the patent on long file names with the FAT file system. Vinculum would have to pay licensing fees to Microsoft for their use and they obviously have decided not to do so.
