Sorry, that was what knew about the TCS3200 color sensor. You can also -Search- the Forum, if you have not done it yet.

The PDF says "will also interface to any BASIC Stamp module or Propeller board using the optional DB-Expander SIP Converter (#28325)."

Franklin is right: the SIP converter will allow you to plug the TCS3200-DB directly into the solderless breadboard area of the Boe-Bot. If you need to have the sensor pointed in a direction other than directly forward, you can connect the DB Extension Cable (#800-28301) between the TCS3200-DB and the SIP converter, then mount the sensor board to the Boe-Bot using right-angle brackets and/or standoffs, and screws.

    Hi,

I would like to know can I able to solder the pin as I went to ask the supplier they do not have the stock, as i need it urgently. So I not sure which pin is for which. E.g S0,S1,S2,S3 n so on.

    Yours Sincerely

The pinout information is in the PDF on the TCS3200-DB product page. Rather than soldering directly to the pins, you can get a mating connector for it to solder to. Here are some Hirose part numbers:

    DF11-12DS-2DSA(05)
    DF11-12DS-2DSA(06)
DF11-12DS-2C (This is a free-hanging housing that requires crimp inserts.)

Or, if your supplier carries the DB extension cable, you can simply cut the wires off at the male end and connect to those directly.

I hope this helps. Meanwhile, please have your supplier contact Parallax about carrying the full line of MoBo products.

    Thanks,
    -Phil

    Hi Phil,

I don't understand the part numbers:

    DF11-12DS-2DSA(05)
    DF11-12DS-2DSA(06)
DF11-12DS-2C (This is a free-hanging housing that requires crimp inserts.)

    Yours Sincerely

    James,

These are manufacturer's part numbers for Hirose connectors. You will have to find a supplier of Hirose brand connectors in your location in order to obtain one. DigiKey carries them in the U.S. and also, perhaps, where you are located.

    Hi Phil,

I stay in Singapore. I have went down to the supplier to see whether i can do my own cable and i done it just now. I noticed that got 4 wire no need to connect as I refer to DB-Expander Daughterboard-to-SIP (#28325). So now is the programming part i stuck. As my boe bot got IR and gripper. So the color sensor is the modify to make it better. Do you have any programming that can assist me.
