mctrivia, I will guarantee that nitrogen in the tires will not make a bit of difference to the thumping caused by the flat bottom effect of tires sitting overnight at low temperatures. Supporting the weight of the vehicle causes the flat area on the tire and the low temperature makes the rubber less flexible regardless of the gas in the tires.
It may make a worthwhile difference in the world of racing or aircraft, but not in everyday driving.
