does anyone know of any?
or of any way to get a 6v rfid reader to run on a 12v battery?
Thanks!

or use a "voltage divider"

Thanks.
I tried that however and I couldnt not find what I was looking for.
I have an RFID reader that is powered by 6v, but I wish to use it with a 12v power source.
do you think this would work?

Hey thanks! I saw that lm317t im just not how sure how I would hook up a 6v jack to it?
im trying to use this rfid:
http://apsx.com/rw310.aspx
here is the datasheet:
http://www.robotshop.ca/content/ZIP/rfid-direct-talk-application-RW-310.zip
USing this microcontroller:
http://www.parallax.com/Store/Microcontrollers/PropellerDevelopmentBoards/tabid/514/CategoryID/73/List/0/SortField/0/Level/a/ProductID/584/Default.aspx
The rfid reader has these connections:
Pin 1: Ground
Pin 2 & 3: Not Used
Pin 4: 5V (Regulated)
Pin 5: TX (Serial Transmit)
Pin 6: RC (Serial Receive)
Pin 7: Ground
Pin 8: Not Used
could I not just hook the pin5 to the microcontrollers 5v pins?
Battery:
