Using Javeline demo board for BS2?

Because of the announced end of the Javelin I am looking for a idea to use
my programming kit and some hardware around in future.
If I compare the layouts of the Javelin demo board (#27237) and a originally BS2 demo board (#28150)
it looks very similar. The Javeline demo board has a second com port but it looks thats it is identical.
Hope I can use it?
Has anybody experience with this migration or can Parallax staff confirm the usability
of the Javelin board (#27237) for BS2 instead of the BOE #28150 (originally board for BS2)
