Found this at the robotshop (http://www.robotshop.ca/on-shine-low-cost-tx-rx.html) it is a $5 bundle of a transmitter and reciver pair of breadboard friendly chips. it says they use "Data is transmitted via "On-off keyed" (OOK) modulation at 4.8Kbps" they work up to 300 feet but i'm curious if they work for the BS2 beacause if they do that would save money on smaller projects. If anyone gets it to work· please provide how/schematic :D

Those are for one-way transmission. For $14 you can get a pair of transceivers from Sparkfun, probably much more useful in any given situation: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9582

Re transceivers: So much for the "I before E except after C" rule. What rules shall we arbitrarily violate next, Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics?

yeah, i know they are one way, idk they might be good for something... (i.e a cheap bomb activator! hahah ROFL) but they would work with the prop and BS2 right?
