Background color preferences

Hey Gang,

Extreme newbie here. I am trying to change the background color (white) of the Basic Stamp Editor. I have gone Edit, Preferences, Editor Appearance, Copy Scheme (Custom) and then set the background color to Gray.

The problem is it doesn't seem to hold my changes. It doesn't even show any changes made in the "Preview Pane".

Any help would be most appreciated. The white is just too blinding for my eyes.

I have figured it. I needed to select the "Default" option in the "Syntax Element" box. I could then set the color scheme of those items within that element. Each other option in the Syntax Element box controls different parts of the Basic Stamp Editor.
