Stingray compatability

Hello all,

I finally managed to get my bot with the MRS1 roaming arround the house on 3 pings, nice! Time for some new tricks I guess, I already·received the Parallax Postion Controller kit (http://www.active-robots.com/products/parallax/position-controller-kit.shtml)·and would like some line following sensors also. I wondered if these parts are compatible with the robot control board in the first place? Seems the position controllers are but I'm not sure.

This is the line kit I would like:

QTI Line Follower AppKit
for the Boe-Bot ( http://www.active-robots.com/products/parallax/qti-line-follower-appkit.shtml·) Just says its for the boe-bot....

Thanks for any help!

Best regards,

Louis

    Louis,

FYI, encoders and line following sensor are in the works for the Stingray.

    Hi Chris,

bummer but thanks for the info. I already bought and received the wheelencoders. Guess I have to buy a boe-bot to go with it now.

    Best regards,

    Louis,

I think what Chris means is that encoders and line following kits are planned specifically for the Stingray. That does not mean that what you have could not be used - it just might be more difficult - for example coming up with a wat to mount the boards and adding a notched wheel for the senors to read. What you have is not uncompatable with the Propeller Robot Control Board.

Likewise the line following kit could be adapted as well.

Thanks Whit, thats great news! I just use the MRS1 and not the actual stingray platform.
