Stamp Super carrier(Rev.A) to USB Port

I was wondering if anyone would know if it would be possible to use my Basic Stamp Super Carrier (Rev.A) on a USB port. I bought a Serial to USB cable and installed the driver for it, but the Stamp editor still doesn't see the port.

If you have the drivers loaded and the cable connected you should see an additional port in device manager whether you have anything connected to the cable or not. If you don't you need to fix that first.

Remember that not all USB to serial adapters will work for programming a Stamp and that the default Windows drivers won't work for this. You need to install the manufacturer's USB drivers.

Thanks for the quick reply Franklin and Mike. I took your advice and did check on the device· manager and it was not installed properly. It was a cheap cable so the installation instruction was not obvious. I was suppose to install three different files under three different folders and·I only installed one. It's working fine now. thanks.
