hacked Screen compatible with prop?

I found this in a old kiddie camera/camcorder (for 8 or 10 and up, 2 years old) i took it apart and took the color screen out. The screen was capable of playing back the moives even if it was small. I scanned it front and back with and without·a ruler. When you look at the back pictures you see a big orangey yellow ribon cable, that is what i think is the raw screen inputs and pins. The yellow ribon cable plug that is not·being used is the output to the camera's main board. The whole board is intact with nothing broken or missing. Can anyone·help me find out and then set this up so i can test it with the propeller? (also it is low power, the camera only ran off of 2 AA's)

I think the first step is to try to get a datasheet for the LCD... Is there a part number on it anywhere that you can google for a datasheet?

If the original device still works you can use a multimeter and an oscilloscope to probe the pins to try and identify what the signals are, after you searched extensively for the datasheet :)

I have a 3 inch one that looks similar to that but it definitely not the same,
and haven't yet figured out how to hook it up without melting the ribbon cable
or soldering it under a microscope with an iron the size of a sewing needle
and using Gallium for solder. If you're interested, I think Electronic Goldmine
(surplus) still has them, and it might be possible to modify a VGA driver to
run them. They need a pixel clock input. And the resolution is only 320x240.
But at just below $20 a piece, no bargain compared to screens I've seen offered
recently on this forum. Tiny screens are usually a Big Pain in the But.
