WAV player, anyone.

I think i heard the prop can play·WAV files directly from an SD card. ·Is this really true? If it is true, then i wonder if their is a demo/object out there? That would be so cool if it could. I could make a propeller music player and blast Def Leppard. Thanks again for all the help. When fellow geeks congregate and share their knowledge, good things happen. Also if such a thing does exist, do you guys know any free wma/mp3 to·WAV converters?

Yes, I use it all the time, it's in the obex. Switch is good but the trial is only a few weeks, and I found another one but I'd have to go on my other computer to find out. Good luck!

Yes, the Prop can play WAV files from an SD card. Have you looked in the Propeller Object Exchange? There's at least one object in the Speech and Sound section. There's a free sound editing program called Audacity that's available for Windows, Linux, and the MacOS and it will load and save files in a variety of formats including MP3 and WAV. Load an MP3 file and save it as a WAV file.

That sounds so cool. I have heard of audacity( I think i used to have it, actually). So you just load the wav file onto the prop and it plays it, COOL. Is the quality any good?

How about downloading the object and looking at the comments? That's usually where the documentation is located (like what types of WAV files are handled, etc.)
