Why does search for "HB-25" not return any hits?

I am trying to search the forums.

    The search funtion in the present forum software stinks! There is new forum software coming online soon.

    In the mean time, use Google search:

    HB-25 site:forums.parallax.com

    You will get about 200 hits using that.

    Probably because most people tend to leave off the - and just enter hb25 instead. That brings up quite a few hits...

    You are correct.

    I got "Results 1 - 10 of about 175 from forums.parallax.com for HB-25. (0.16 seconds)" from the Google Search.
