probably standardised html code and inputed picture is not high res. That would happen on my web site if i did not put in 1000pixel wide high res photos.

I don't think you understand. Mat's caps are 3000 FARAD! Your's is 68,000 uf, (read micro). A lot of zeros difference.

I meant to say mf not uf. It is 6.8 Farads.

ARG! If it's only .068 F and only 40V, what would make it SO physically big? Temp rating? It is -40 to 105 C. I think it's just old.

It may be a little old, but they are still around. I have about a dozen of your same cap's that were used in a lot of 100-300 watt amplifiers in the 70's and 80's. I keep them around to repair my friends amps.

i see your correction. I assumed small m. Still did not think a 0.2F at 20kV cap existed. You could make a 0.375F at 20kV using 8000 of the caps i mentioned in series. Would cost $500,000 though.

micro a 0.068F cap is pretty big. I have a 0.5F@ 12V(36J) cap that is bigger then the cap I listed. The reason is the way the caps are made is completely different. Read this for more info

Peter KG6LSE how many would you take? I am trying to get over 10 so we can get a discounted price.

Hey Mctrivia, you've peaked my curiousity. What are you planning to do with these?

2.7V or 2 in series for 5.4V with a lot of grunt for some kind of power fail circuit? or using it as a power source for a spot welder? tongue.gif I'm really curious.....

Experimentation on how to shield against the huge EMF generated by using it as a spot welder.

But unfortunately I just got laid off from my day job for the next 2 months until some jobs start up so I have no cash to play with this kind of stuff for the time being.
