Thumb-down symbol...what does it do?

On the right side of each post there is a thumb down icon located between two exclamation points. I mistakenly clicked it freaked.gif and a whole thread seems to have gone away! What do I do?

That makes it so that all posts by that person are hidden (ignored). Go to the control panel and click on "Edit Ignored Users" to fix it.

Apparently I'm not quite ready for godlike powers. At the very least I should read the manual first.

During roman times in the arena it was the sign of death for the loser of the battle.

Spartacus, was my favorite mini series this year, can't wait till next season.

Think Inside the box first and if that doesn't work..
Re-arrange what's inside the box then...
    Think outside the BOX!

Seriously good TV!! My wife and I watched that, and it was just intense!! I love excellent characters that have some depth, color. This series had a lot of them, and they were distinctive, believable in their motivations, and very well portrayed by the actors.

I bonked on the thumbs down a time or two myself before taking the time to read what I was told. Missed a few posts, got it sorted. You can go to the control panel, and "Edit Ignored Users" to clear out the gaffes from the good calls.
