Basic stamp guitar tuner - shift registers are being a pain

Hi there ive been working on a guitar tuner using basic stamp for a school project and i am having problems getting the shift registers working.

i followed the diagram exactly and used the source code provided in the link above but for some reason i get nothing displaying from the led bar graph of the 7 segment display, which are controlled by shift registers.

i know that the diplays work and i assume the basic stamp is sending out the right signals.

i will put pics up soon of my circuit

    Why didn't you Reply to the Subject instead of starting a Subject?
