installing the newest PrarallaxSoftware + the ftdi-usb-driver in which order

excuse my verry stupid question:
about 3 hours my old xp is crashed.
i'm
now i have buy a new netbook with XP and IE7
all ok, internet ok
download of the newest parallax-sofware and the ftdi-usb-driver ok
but:
i don't know, how i can install the software
it's verry stupid question:
1) IDE then usb-driver
or
2) usb-Driver then IDE

I believe when installing the IDE, it will ask if you want to update/install USB drivers. So I would do the IDE first.
