SO if you need artistic inspiration for your next bot, look no further than mother nature.
This was hauled up hitchhiking on an oil platform ROV. (Don't look at it for too long, it'll keep you awake at night.)

    It's a giant isopod, related to crabs, shrimp, and those little pill bugs (sow bugs) that hide under rocks.

    Got a better answer on where. Gulf of Mexico! 8,500 ft. down. Came up on the ROV they were using to set the christmas tree on the west sirius rig.
