Solar Panel problem

I spent 60 bucks on the 18V solar panel sold by Parallax.· I thought I'd apply 18V to it because I needed some sunlight in my basement to help with an herb-growing project.· (Not that kind of herb.)· Well, not only did the solar panel not emit sunlight when I applied 18V to it, but it also overheated or something on it melted and stunk up my basement.

Great product, jerks.

I've got to assume that this was an April Fool's joke/post.

    Lord Steve,

Did you check your polarity first? The solar cells are supposed to be reverse biased. You were most likely creating some form of anti-light - sorry about that.

Wow, i didn't think about that, Beau! i wonder if he realized he had created a black hole? (or black square as the case may be). It is proven to work, where did the $60 go? tongue.gif
