Help with the tsl1401

I have just ordered the Parallax line scan camara module and am planning on using it with the propeller and the db expander daughterboard to sip adapter, after looking at the tsl1401 data sheet they show a RL resistive (external load)·connected to the A0 output pin. Is that part of the chip or on the daughterboard? Thanks Dave.

    A resistive load was necessary for the older TSL1401, but it's not for the TSL1410R-LF, which is the current version used with the daughterboard. The 330R load mentioned in the datasheet is just a test condition for the spec being cited on that line; the one shown in the block diagram, an illustrative example; it's definitely not a requirement.

    No, although the electrical characteristics should be the same, since it's the same die. Here's a link to the correct datasheet:
