Catalina Installation
Hi,
I want to use Catalina for my Propeller Board. But I don't know how to use it. It doesnt matter if I use Codeblocks or the Command Line based Compiler as long as it works. But I don't know how to use the Command Line Compiler and I if I work through the Code::blocks Tutorial ( http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=25&m=388930 ) for the 2.3 release it says me, that I cant compile because the Project uses an unknown compiler (I think it is because I changed the conf and all but it doesnt know where Catalina is located..)
Greetz,
Steve

I have been developing BlackCat and have used both Code::Blocks and ViewPort.· CB is free, but tricky to get set up and does not automatically load the propeller and invoke the debugger.· ViewPort is a commercial product, but is easy to use and automates the loading of the propeller and getting the debugger started.· It "knows" where Catalina is and all the other programs needed to conduct a debugging session.· IMHO its worth buying for the time you'll save with C, and of course you get a Spin debugger included.
Good luck.

Sorry - I didn't notice this thread before. Did you manage to get Catalina installed and working? If not, tell me where you got up to and I'll try and help. It would be useful if you could post your system type (Windows XP, Visa, Linux etc).
Ross.
