Ping))) Response Time

[Reposting from Robotics forum as this seems a more appropriate forum for this question]

Hi,
based on this set of numbers from the Ping ))) datasheet:

•Input Trigger: positive TTL pulse, 2 µs minimum, 5 µs typical
•Echo Pulse: positive TTL pulse, 115 µs to 18.5 ms
•Echo Hold-off: 750 µs from fall of trigger pulse
•Burst Frequency: 40 kHz for 200 µs

Is it resonable to assume that the max response time for the Ping ))) is 18.5 ms, or should one buffer this with the Input Trigger and Echo Hold-off times as well?

thanks much.

From the datasheet, the maximum time before the module is done is hold-off + echo pulse = .75ms + 18.5ms = 19.25ms. You also want to add in time after the last pulse to allow echos to die.
