My father is a missionary to Mongolia (china) and in his off time has been working on a robot.
I thought I'd post a few of the pictures that he's been sending me.
I've finally convinced him to learn about microcontrollers, and he's decided to go BASIC stamp.
(thanks Ken!) It'll be interesting to see him add some automation to this project.

As a side note, I thought that Mongolia was an independent nation, not a province of China?

Drive power: windshield wiper motor
Fork lift: power window motor
Receiver: salvaged from RC toy car
Transmitter: 2 channel 27 MHz from RC toy car
Second Transmitter: 1 channel garage door opener
Speed control: welder resister and servo salvaged from a voltage regulator
Batteries: Two: 12 volt Gel cells 7AH
Switching: 20: dpst 12 volt relays
Fork lift cap.: approx. 10 lbs
