Javelin - End of Life Announcement
The Javelin Stamp Module (JS1-IC) and Javelin Starter Kit (27237) are End of Life products. They will both be available while supplies last. Based on current demand and supply we estimate that the·Starter Kit will be sold out within a year and the·Javelin Module·will be around for at least another two and a half to three years. We will continue support until all units are gone.

We are working on a JVM for the Propeller, and honestly, it's going pretty well.

I'm doing some testing with it, Peter has usual give a good feedback on the Javelin feature, Steve is coding, and Chim
I don't know why Javelin is End Of Life, but I really think it's because of lack of sells.
I searched for other Java MC but did not find anything. I will be very happy to get one if you found it.
So I moved to the propeller.
Here are your options.
Option 1: Learn the Spin language It's a pain, and it's WAY FAR from Java. Less intuitive, difficult to debug, difficult to learn, not compatible with anything else in the world, not really object oriented, missing many features, etc.
I did that I'm now able to code in Spin in the propeller, but honestly, I'm coding 10 times slower than on the Javelin because of all the Spin limitations.
Option 2: Code in Java on the propeller!!!! Look at this thread: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?110317-Propeller-JVM-Project-PASM-Java-VM/page15 Steve did a JVM for Propeller few years ago, and Jazzed optimized it. Now, it's working, and it's fast! It's faster than the Javelin, and you have more input/outputs. So far, there is no knowned issues so it's working fine. I was able to get it working on Linux, and Jazzed on Windows.
Ok, there is no supports for this JVM on the propeller, but at least it's not EOL And a Propeller is less than $10.;
So I'm still trying to convince myself that Spin is not so bad (and I did not success so far), but I'm also still using Java for simple applications.

Awesome!
64 I/O, 75MHz Clock Rate, 16MB Address Space, and more and more and more!
It's just missing some cogs and speed, and it's gona be even better than the propeller II
The only sad thing is that it seems to be end of life too... It's not possible to find any demo or proto board for it And I don't think it's doable without a board. Have you found any?

If you really want on, I need to figure out a price.
