i remember seeing roborealm used on the show 'prototype this' once, they were using it for the robot boxers i think it was. they showed one setup using a camera pointed down to a square flat panel and as they moved the panel on the axis the software would detect the movements of the corners moving to/away from the camera to move 2 servos connected to another panel maze on each axis to move a ball bearing through...

they used this software to monitor the movements of two people to replicate into two robots fighting. It's really neat software, i played around with it for 30 days with the demo. it has premade drivers to output to the basic stamp module.

Hi erco, for what it costs the software is impressive. Here is a link to a bot that was made utilizing the same software and discussed on these forums a couple of years ago (I think the software was free at that time )

Sheesh, over a year later and only now am I really getting started with RoboRealm. Just found some useful info on interfacing with mobile robots, thought other might be interested.

I have an original free copy of Roborealm. The retail price is around $100 so the $40 deal on woot is pretty good. I would not pay $100 for it now. But look at the price for a full blown copy of Flowstone. Some of these software vendors must think that hobbyists have veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy deep pockets. Not!

Note that that offer is long expired. I posted about that $40 deal in March 2010. I only brought it up to avoid creating another thread.
