Can some one tell me how to program qrd1114 sensor?

Hi guys
i am using this sensor for the robot arm and i dont know how to program it can u guys help me its urgent thanks.
And its infrared sensor. I had attached the data sheet for it.
Plz give information at the level of student i am student. if u give information at higher level i may not understand.

    That part does not program, it is only a sensor. the led gets power (through a resistor) and the transistor conducts and needs to be read by the stamp. How you do that depends on your program and what external devices you have or want.
