6.25 MHz resonator and FullDuplexSerialPlus

Has anyone used the new 6.25 MHz resonator with "FullDuplexSerialPlus"?

I used the crystal this way:

CON
_clkmode = xtal1 + pll16x
_xinfreq = 6_250_000

when I have my top object send data to the Terminal the display is garbage!

Can anyone help me?

A resonator and a crystal are two different beasts. Do you mean a crystal (usually having two pins), or a resonator (that usually has 3 pins)?

I've used the standard FullDuplexSerial on several projects with a 6.25MHz crystal with no troubles. Does your terminal baud rate match your program baud rate?

I use 6.5MHz xtals and FDX without problems.

I have been programming since 1975. But when you are stupid your are stupid.
Would you not have thought that I would have double check it the most obvious!! The baud rate setup between the top object and the Terminal???

Well stupid is as stupid does....

It's not a matter of stupidity. It's a useful lesson to have learned. We all (believe it or not) have the ability to overlook things and ignore things that sit right in front of our eyes. What makes a good (human) debugger is the skill to pretend to be the computer, taking everything literally and assuming nothing.
