How·can I·increase the volume of my piezo speaker·from the·'FREQOUT' command alone, without·an amplifier circuit?·

Move it closer to your ear. No, just kidding, but there isn't any way without an Amp...

Fashion a paper cone around it like a megaphone.

Not sure if you have tried this, but:

Connect one speaker lead to an output pin and the other speaker lead to another output pin. Drive one output pin high and the oher low then toggle both at the desired frequency.

You now have a low power H bridge which should yield a 3dB voltage increase or a 6dB power increase.

    I hope this helps.

Piezos resonate and are louder·at certain frequencies. Adjust your frequencies to resonate.

Piezos are tiny, a larger dynamic speaker and series capacitor will give more volume.

Amplifiers don't have to be big, complicated, or expensive.

Two parts: one transistor and one resistor make an amp. If you're using a BS1 Project board or a BS2 Homework board, the resistor is built in and you only need the transistor. It doesn't get any easier than that, you're talking pennies here.

An LM386 Amp works much better for just a few more parts.
