Motivated to create a fully automated room I've decided to take on this project using parts I've had lying around. Jamming my weekends full I've managed to make some great progress, one of the best for me at 4 a.m. this past Friday!

It's nowhere near done, but after this past weekend I thought I'd share what I have so far. Using the propmod and the breadboard used for the pe kit I've been able to set everything up I've needed so far. As it is set up now it is capable of turning on/off the light, turning on/off the computer, displaying data on a tv and lcd, detecting motion, playing music, and with some work hopefully detect sound and react to clapping patterns. It's not where I hope it to end up, but at least its a start and I'm glad to have gotten this far.

As of now I have two primary programs running on the system. The first one I made two weeks ago, and this program waits for motion before turning on the light and playing a song, turning the lights off after. The second, produced just this past weekend, plays 3 songs off of my sd card and displays the times on the tv.

I'm not anywhere close to where I want it to be, but I'll just hope for the best. If I can get the hardware aspect of it figured out I hope to have it turned into a permanent circuit board available to anyone wishing to do something similar, but will see how it goes for now.
