Hope it's cool that I started a new thread. If you look in erco's "Homebuilt Robotic Platorm AKA Retrobot" thread you'll see my reply with the first video and some pictures of this robot.

Anyway, I added an IR detector and an XBee module to the robot. They're on a breadboard for now, so I could get it functional. I'll do something better later.

Check out this video to see them in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0AcZmAPymE

XLNT, Roy. Ain't no stopping you now! Congrats, your bot is fast & furious. The first & only videos I've seen of this new platform in action. You're Xbee wireless, how cool is that!

OK, next we want to see some cool moves with your Stingray. And not just more "Roaming with Pings" (yawn), you're way beyond that. Be the first to do something original! Get these two Propbots dancing together!

Ok, I'll switch back to the Stingray for a little bit and make it do something. It'll be a few days since I can only work at night on the weekdays.
I do have another XBee module that I plan to put on the Stingray. I think it would be cool to have the two robots "talk" to eachother...

Hey Roy, excellent start. I like the wireless PC interface too - has lots of potential. Are you using the API mode in XBees?

Ken, I am using the XBee object that is on the OBEX and was written by Martin Hebel. It does both API mode and AT(?) mode. The moving and turning messages are sent with API mode, when it starts up it sends messages with both modes.
