Compatibility with Linux/Ubuntu OS

Before I receive my HYDRA System, I'd like to know which computer to install the development software on. The computer I use most, and the one I'd prefer to do this kind of thing on, uses Linux, and I don't know if the software will work well on WINE. I do have computers with Windows 98, XP and 7 on them, so if Linux is not an option, It's okay.
