Hi guys,

I've never used a SX before, and ive only seen a couple of snipets of SX code. Could a pro who knows·how to code the BS2 give·me a quick option on how hard SX is compared to programing a BS2? like "harder, same, easier" or maybe that and some specs on why. Idk i just really wanna have a low cost way to implement some of my project ideas and the SX looks great to do them with, and also i dont get all the specs on them so could someone tell me if they are better overall then the·regular BS2·(like processing power, and RAM and all that stuff)

thanks,
logan

It is much faster with more RAM, but harder to program.

You do know that the SX is in End-of-Life ? If you are just learning, I'd recommend the Propeller.

Use BASIC on the Propeller with the speed of assembly language.

The SX -can- be as easy as the Stamp if you use SX Basic. But, yeah, what Bean said...

It's going out of production, but thanks to Parallax and them buying for their own future needs, it won't go away tomorrow.

Parallax has already received the last of the SX chips in wafer form. They are slowly trickling in from the overseas packaging plants (where they put the pins on and encase in plastic) and show up on their web site every few weeks. When it's all over with, there may or may not be any lasting stock of finished chips. Time will tell.
