Guys I was wondering if I could use this sensor to measure positive pressure of around 30 Lbs .. I am confused looking at data sheet .. if this will not work can anyone recommend one that will I need to measure positive air pressure of 0- almost 40 Lbs
I want to make my own Boost gauge with a BS2 and the 4X20 Thank you

    @mikediv
    If you are talking about 30-40 PSI, no.

    To convert kilopascals to pounds per square inch, multiply the kpa value by .14503773773020923.

    The VTI SCP1000 will max out at around 17.405 PSI. It is used mainly as an atmospheric pressure sensor, (weather station, altitude calculation).
    Digikey has many·senors to choose·from:

    Thank you Hover I kind of figured it would not go that high pressure wise.. since the higher you go the thinner the air. Thank you for the link I was looking through some of them I was hoping I could find a cheap to be honest sensor that would do the trick but that does not seem to be the case

    Mikediv,

    Higher pressure is not thinner air. Sea level is about 14.7 psi. 30psi would be about 2 times atmospheric pressure, meaning more pressure, below sea level.

    I think Digikey has some pressure sensors. I'll look it up and get back to you. Maybe $30 each?

    Take a look at the honeywell sensors.

    Thanks 30 bucks would be reasonable I just don't want my home made boost gauge to cost more that buying one off the shelf , even if it would be fun just to build it

    Look for Motorola MPX4250 and related sensors on Digi and Mouser. Last I purchased them they were mid $20 range.
