    Is the object of the exercise just to receive and parse text sms messages? If so there is a command (on the GE864 at least) that just displays the text messages directly to the serial port as they come in, without having to deal with message boxes etc.

    I need to go back and find my command log... but if thats all you need to do its straightforward
